I understood that maybe it would be an interesting step in my life to get international education in an international environment and in one of the most developed countries.

What was your background before coming to study at IGR-IAE Rennes?

I was 27 when I decided to change my life. My background was enough solid. I had already six years of experience working in sales, logistics and marketing, after graduating from a double curriculum in logistics and commerce at Saint-Petersburg State University of Economics

What was your motivation for these studies in France?

My life started to be a little bit of a routine, and I started considering a study abroad project. I understood that maybe it would be an interesting step in my life to get international education in an international environment and in one of the most developed countries, the opportunity to get something new in terms of professional path and to learn a new language.

What would you advise to a Russian student who has the same project as you?

Before coming to France, start learning French language, read more about French culture and stay open-minded all the time!

What is your best surprise/memory of your arrival in France/Rennes/IGR?

It was easy to get help from each person I was asking. The international staff were giving a great support in the first months. I also loved meeting students from IGR-IAE Rennes who shared the same experience, and discovering all the opportunities the school had to offer, as well as life out of the school.

What is your worst surprise/memory of your arrival in France/Rennes/IGR?

I was not speaking French at all, so sometimes it was difficult to overcome myself to communicate with people. There were some issues about mistakes and accent. And lots document routine in France, but with help, it is not so difficult, although much more complicated than in my country.
