IGR-IAE Rennes exchange students benefit from the DUO-Korea scholarship

The DUO-Korea program promotes student exchanges between Korea and European countries. This program is part of the Asia-Europe Dialogue (Asem), launched in 2000 as a joint initiative of South Korea, France and Singapore to promote cross-border exchanges between higher education institutions in European and Asian countries. Through this program, European students from European institutions can be financially supported for their studies in Korea. The originality of this program is that it allows a Korean student from the partner university to obtain the same scholarship.

This is the framework in which our student Lena Brossard, nominated in our partner university University of Seoul, obtained the Duo-Korea scholarship, which will help her finance her semester stay in Seoul. During the same period, IGR-IAE Rennes will host Lena’s Korean counterpart, Ms. Jihye SHIN, a student from UOS, who will study for a semester in Rennes.

The two recipients of the scholarship were able to meet recently at the University of Seoul, upon Lena’s arrival in Korea and before Jihye’s departure for France: a very friendly meeting that allowed the two students to get to know each other and to share thoughts on the projects they have for their semesters abroad.
